The objective of the project was to rehabilitate an old, worn out villa that was gradually becoming outmoded. They desired a fresh and modern remodel of their new abode, something to breathe life into the structure. We drew up plans for the redesign of the interior spaces and decided to retain the structural and load bearing members. By adding climate sensitive façade elements, we gave the exterior a fresh look that not only stood out from its surroundings, but also looked natural and neat, while protecting the building from the harsh sun.

ARUNACHAL PRADESH
On the foothills of Wakro, this peaceful abode is a climatologically efficient retreat designed for an esteemed Baba from Chinmaya Mission. The retreat opens up to its natural and breath-taking surroundings, and leaves minimal impact of the same. The spacious, yet humble, well-planned architectural spaces have scope for technological advancements, including modernity in design and sustainable strategies, while staying humble with the use of natural and vernacular materials and finishes. The planning of the retreat is optimized with Vastu compliance and keeping the microclimate of the site in mind.

The design of ArtXstasy Studio redefines the concept of workspaces through design. With chill-out spaces and variable workspace designs, the design provides the employees a sense of satisfaction and promotes better mental health. Apart from personal mental health and growth, these intelligently designed spaces improve the interpersonal relationships in the office, and those with the clients and collaborators.
The productivity/success of an office isn't defined by how many workspaces that the office has to offer, but the balance between work and rest it inevitably creates.

One dominant roof element, sustainable in design with a futuristic vision, brings together the living spaces, opening them up to the pool. The grand design of the farmhouse is inspired by the site, creating a form that showcases interesting interior spaces. Inspired by the wings of an aircraft, the farmhouse possesses a sleek, unique style, perfect for the eccentric client. Artfully created, the farmhouse rests in the centre of the farmland, connected with the workings of the farm.

The alternative proposal of this contemporary yet humble design is inspired by the varied experiences that can be created with the natural spaces. Designed around a courtyard with environment sensitivity, the interior spaces are thermally resilient and comfortable. The various spaces are spread out on the site, only connected through nature in the form of interesting transitional spaces like bridges, pergolas, decks, etc, creating a lively, social, healthy living space.
The various independent forms, create a play of levels, and come together at the central pool, the highlight of the farmhouse.

An ideal home is one that not only shelters your body, but also your soul. A safe haven, the house takes on many roles, keeping a post-pandemic scenario in mind.
The house redefines the concept of simple courtyard houses and mainstream villas. All spaces are designed around recreational and green spaces. Planned around a pool garden, the house blurs the line between inside and outside. With a dominant roof design that unifies all the spaces, the home stands out contemporarily. It creates a comprehensive space for the mental sustainability of the family, with private, social, recreational, productive and green spaces.

As the name suggests, the design of the coffeehouse is based on the contrasting themes of light and dark, as is the coffee it serves. The café seems to blend into the mountains and the lush greenery in its context, and this inspired form hence creates interesting spaces in the interior and the external landscape, while inducing a calming atmosphere. The forms and its undulations are created after studying the microclimate of the area, for maximum thermal comfort and aesthetic appeal.
