Villa B36

Design Intent
Villa B36 is designed as a composition of layers, where architecture, light, and landscape work together to create a home that feels both protected and open.
The façade is defined by a series of perforated screens and deep-set openings that act as a climatic buffer. These elements filter harsh sunlight, allow ventilation, and create shifting patterns of light and shadow throughout the day. Rather than relying on solid walls, the home uses these breathable layers to establish privacy without disconnecting from the outdoors.
A prominent arched volume anchors the elevation, giving the structure a strong identity while softening the otherwise rectilinear massing. This gesture introduces a sense of rhythm and proportion, while also framing the jaali surface as a key architectural feature.
The spatial planning extends beyond the built form. Balconies, terraces, and semi-open decks are treated as active living zones rather than leftover spaces. The upper levels open into shaded outdoor areas and a rooftop pavilion, allowing the house to expand vertically into a series of experiential zones.
Materiality plays a crucial role in defining the character of the home. Warm earthy tones, textured stone surfaces, and terracotta screens create a tactile and grounded palette, contrasted by light pergola structures that bring in openness and lightness.
The result is a home that is responsive, layered, and deeply connected to its environment, where comfort is achieved not just through interiors, but through thoughtful architectural design.
